Holy smokes! The grips on that snub are incredible 😍

While I prefer stainless, I have always wondered about pairing my 686 snub with wood combats with a 586 snub so each of my girls get one. Yin and Yang ☯️ sort of deal, considering my daughters are biracial (half Chinese)

I have 5, Top 586-3 8 3/8", Left 586-4 6", Right 586-ND, Left 586-ND 4" Nickel, Right 586-ND 4" Blue
Still looking for a couple of short ones.

I like the M586 a lot but it isn't anywheres near the top of my favorite list. I much prefer the M15, 18, 36, 19 and possibly a few others. For shooting full power 357 magnum loads - yes it is my fav for that! I have never been an N frame fan and avoid shooting many magnums out of K frames. So when I feel the calling to make some noise and I am going to shoot lots of Magnums, the L frame M586 is what I use.

I see ACE1000D has a 6" no dash. I have one also. Anyone have an idea of it's worth?

I really enjoy my no dash, I'd like to get a 4" as well.

Yes, it was my first revolver. Dirty sitting on a table of Colts I took it in to see what revolvers were about many moons ago. I acquired a few since.

I replaced my Model 13, 4" (that I lost in a fire) with a 586 no-dash 4" a couple of years ago. Previous owner had a trigger job done by an expert and round-butt Altamont grips; it is an absolutely great gun; accurate and smooooth. One of my grandsons is a local cop, and lusts for the 586; I suspect he'll get it when I expire! ML

I'm an L frame fan. Haven't owned all that many (mostly 686's) but here's the only 586, I currently have. This 4" -1, I bought just like it sets, with the grips and all, way back in early '90's for $150 from a dealer at an OKC gun show. This was when LE everywhere was dumping their revolvers for mostly tactical tupperware.
