Do the cylinders of Models 25, 325, and 625 use the same dimensions between their chambers, and do they use the same moon clips?

That’s a really good question. If no one on the forum knows the answer I suggest contacting the folks over at TkCustom. I have bought moon clips and moon clip loading supplies from them for years.

They are all the same model gun except for frame material. They are all N-Frame. There is no reason they would have different dimensions.

Yup, I have 2 model 25s and one 325 and I use the same batch of clips for all three.
I can attest to the quality of the full moon clips manufactured by TK Custom. Top shelf stuff.

All ACP revolvers (except for that rude Model 10-6 that photobombed the picture!). All use the same moonclips. These revolvers range from1918-2005.
Actually, as long as the bore is centered in the barrel, all N frame revolvers have the chambers spaced the same distance from the ejector rod (center of cylinder). Same with all the other frames.
As for which clips to use? It is very much a personal preference. I prefer to use the clips from Ranch Products, the company chosen by S&W to produce them for the factory.

The above statements are not totally accurate. The newer model guns use thicker moon clips that will bind up the older guns like the mod 25-2. TK CUSTOM does make a thinner moonclip for the older guns.

Which models use thicker clips? I have not found that problem, yet, but my knowledge ends 2004.

I have a 25-2, 625-2,3&8, 325PD and two 22-4's and use Ranch Products moon clips (who was/is the OE supplier to S&W) for all of them with no problems.

Don't forget the 1917 and the Bazillion model also use the same original moon clip.
I have a Brazilian Contract 1937 (1917) and a 625 (series of 1989) and they use the normal half and full-moon clips.
Brownell's sells or sold bags of 100 full moon clips for cheap! I have over 225 full-moons and only half a dozen half-moon. I leave about 100-150 loaded with my standard 45ACP round and 3 full-moons loaded with my favorite SD loading.

TK makes a clip for the 625 that is thicker. I believe they are the supplier for newer guns. I think they all can take the thinner ones but not vice versa. My S serial number 25-2 doesn’t like the thick ones.

I see it's a good thing that I don't care about the thickness much. The speedloader is holding the ammunition on the clip, not the clip. I'm most concerned about the spacing of the chambers.

The barrel is in the frame a fixed distance from the extractor rod. The bore is centered in the barrel. The center of the bore is the same distance from the extractor rod regardless of the caliber.
