You're a trillionaire

With money starting with a T, you would need a few layers of world class security.
No fishing by yourself at the watering hole.

I would hire an army of journalists to go after white collar and government criminals. (Note, add two more layers of security.)
Maybe buy a news network and work very hard to make and keep it objective. Get this, editorials would be just that, editorials, and not masquerade as news.

I’d buy my land and guns. I’d take care of the family and friends of course. But that really wouldn’t put a dent in that money, that’s all done with interest dividends. I’m taking on the the anti gunners head on dollar for dollar. I’m 57 and won’t out live that money. So I’m pick a fight and p***ing them off. Fight like they fight buy the special interest and politicians. Why not create a Soros pro gun machine. But until then I’m going back to work on Monday. Aaauugghhh dreams.

Awesome !!!!!!!!!

I’d buy a small island in the PNW and build a dream house. Separate cottages for housekeepers, cooks, yardmen, security team, etc, on the other side on the other island. Helicopter, pad and pilot, in case I needed to get anywhere quickly. Smallish boat with a captain and crew for cruising around locally, bigger boat with more crew for longer travel. Full-time guy or gal to run everything for me… Jet and crew at nearest airport for when I want to travel to my other dream houses…

I dunno, guys…. This is getting awfully complicated….

Lucky me! I think deciding how to live with a trillion dollars will not be a problem that I will be having…

Waldron or Spieden Island would work for me.

After loosing my wife last month and almost dying this past week, a question like that seems senseless. I mean a casket costs 2k, the funeral around $6k. What else is really important. SInce the Fransciscans saved my life, I'd split it between them and St. Judes with the proviso that my name never gets mentioned in connection with the donation.

Something to keep in mind with sharing resources is to not give someone more temptation than they can handle.
Many organizations and people have been corrupted by wealth.

I’ve long said that if received a huge pile of money, I’d take every basic/intro class at every firearms training school I could. After I’ve gone through those, if I’m still alive, I’d start over with the next level classes. And keep going until I’ve done them all or ran out of years.
I’d supply myself with all the necessary equipment/gear, of course.

Any big gaps in time between classes would be spent at driving/racing schools. Again, I’d supply myself with all the necessary equipment/gear.

With a trillion dollars, I’d expand things a bit. All of it done anonymously.

I would start by funding some sort of youth firearms education system. Something like the 4-H Shooting Sports program, but run it year-round with paid full-time, and well-trained instructors. Build a series of ranges all over the country just for this, so they wouldn’t have to worry about finding places to use.

Start another program to build new and improve existing shooting ranges and conservation areas.
And another legal-oriented one devoted to protecting shooting ranges. This should probably be a standalone program, but perhaps it would be a subsidiary of the range construction one.

Start something like a “political missionary program” of trained people who go around spreading the gospel of conservatism.

Then move onto giving to the typical charities. But first, I want to start up those programs and organizations I listed that don’t now exist.

Quoting:
Hmm! That’s a lot of money.
I’d probably just keep farming until I lost it all.

Another quote from Farm Aid times:
IF Dolly Parton was a farmer, she would be "Flat Busted"!

Family Housing near St. Jude
My query waste of time - YMMV

Quoting: I seem to recall that although St. Judes takes care of the patient's billing the families have to find a place to stay during treatment..

Decided to check with google today.
St, Jude now has information about housing options.
https://www.stjude.org/care-treatment/patient-families/campus-information/housing.html

Housing

St. Jude offers several housing options for patients and families.

Yes, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital provides free housing to patient families who live more than 35 miles away when treatment requires an overnight stay.
St. Jude has multiple housing facilities specifically designed for patient families, all provided at no cost.
  • The Domino's Village: A facility connected to the hospital by a walking bridge that accommodates both short- and long-term stays in one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.
  • Target House: Apartment-style housing specifically equipped for families needing long-term (three months or more) lodging.
  • Tri Delta Place:
    A hotel-style facility geared toward short-term stays.
  • Ronald McDonald House: A family-centered residential space that offers additional accommodations near the campus

I think long before getting there, sanity would require an immense paradigm shift. "What can I afford?" is long gone from your thought process. "What do I desire?" has probably become old, and "How can I make a meaningful difference?" might just be the overriding driving force in your life. Then it's just a matter of what qualifies as "meaningful" to you as an individual. I'm just imagining of course.

So if you became the world’s second trillionaire, what would you buy or do ?
I gotta say, there’s not many things I want. I would buy a lot of rural properties. Farms and timberland. Maybe a villa on the Amalfi coast for my wife.
Id buy a bunch of politicians, and run the country MY way.

My team of white collar crime journalists would report on how corrupt most of the big name charities are.

I'd buy a small mountain/hill and build a castle on it.

Take my friends out to dinner!

For starters. Then part it out to worthwhile charities while keeping enough for the wife and I to live comfortably for the foreseeable future.

Buy Hollywood, make good shows and require all who were in the film industry to be pro gun, pro fur and visually support conservative causes.
I believe 90% of current actors would go for it. Next I would start buying politicians, which should be even cheaper.

Buy a couple sections of land out on the Plains and have a replica of Bent's Fort built in the middle of it, put a million in the bank to cover taxes and stuff, give a million each to my daughter and brothers with the taxes paid, give ten million to every VA hospital with the taxes paid, and give the rest away to non political organizations.

If you are a Trillionaire, money becomes meaningless as you are able to follow your every whim regardless of the cost, and because of that, it becomes of no value. So, where's the joy?
