In my youth, I had a 38/44 with a 6.5" barrel all tricked out by a previous owner as a target pistol. S/N 41974. Loved that gun. Sold it to pay for flying lessons along with the reloading equipment. Good decision but it miss that gun. Recently purchased a new 586-8 with a 6" barrel because it reminded me of it.Not sure if we have a dedicated 38/44 thread, but I haven’t seen one recently so why not make one? I love N frames, especially vintage HE small bores. So let’s see them! Heavy Duty or Outdoorsman, prewar or postwar, nickeled or blue, etc. Show ‘em off! I’ll start with this example from 1936:

Nah... No such thing as a plain jane heavy duty and my experience is the forum members with the magnificent collections are also friendly and fun loving gun guys like we all are.
