I’m 72 ,Navy vet ( Seabees),worked for the phone company for 32 yrs, retired in 2010. living in a small town in North Central Wa. Left the “Westside” in 1990 to get away from the craziness. Had 2 small children at the time and didn't want them raised in what I saw as a deteriorating environment. Since retiring I along with my son have acquired a small S&W collection. So there is really no better place than this forum to learn more about S&W.

Welcome! We're not quite close neighbors as I'm about 7 miles from the Idaho border, but you're sort of 'in the neighborhood.' I went to HS in a small town along Hwy 2 in Central Washington and now live along the same road north of Spokane, though I lived on that crazy west side for almost 20 years.

E WA certainly has a lot more easy shooting spots than most of W WA, though the suburban creep has taken away a couple even out my way. Stupid actions by shooters have certainly accelerated that quite a bit.

Welcome aboard shipmate! I was recently visiting Family near the "Westside," and if you thought it was crazy enough to leave in 1990, you certainly made a good decision! I sure hope you're shooting that "collection?"

Welcome from Illinois. (The downstate part, no where near Chicago). Pick out your favorite style of shooting or type of handgun (S&W of course) and get involved in the Forum. Have fun, we all learn from each other.

Welcome! Spent 3 years in the mid-Columbia valley (Douglas Co.) Loved it, Good ranges up No. 2 Canyon in Wenatchee and up at the race track in East Wenatchee. One of my good work buddies retired as a Sr. Chief in the Seabees about your vintage.
