Looks like I am going to have bananna hot cakes again,

since they were not used up, before they turned lightly "brown" again
which the little lady will refuse to eat, when they start to get spots on them.

Enjoying my coffee right now, the batter will have to wait for a while, this morning.
Got the idea of adding one pealed, seeded, apple to the pot, to see what turns out.

The Masters starts in three hours. Interesting news on a few players, this year.

Stay well.

Just had a big piece of banana cream pie, so good. But a big problem is shelf time on one. Two days top and into the garbage.
2 days ?? You have some left in 2 days ?? You’re not trying hard enough.

Get out a DVD or record a movie. Take the pie, a fork, and a napkin to bed. It’ll be gone before the movie is over.
If the wife objects, tell here the couch is comfortable! (I’ve heard that a few times)

My wife wraps the stem bundles in small pieces of aluminum foil she keeps handy for the pupose. She's been doing that for over a year and it seems to work well. The kids and I don't really care though, because overripe means her delicious banana bread!

The Chiquita company is the absolute worst thing to ever happen to food. They convinced a whole generation of women that a ripe banana was no good. If the peel has a brown spot, then the banana was no good although the banana within was perfectly ripe.
And....bananas do NOT ripen after being picked green. They merely begin to rot.
I haven't eaten a ripe banana in 60 years. Ripe bananas are delicious. What they sell today is a chalking, bland piece of crap. Young people do not know what a ripe banana tastes like.
And the insanity spread to tomatoes, peaches, apples, and every other fruit. Nothing is picked ripe any longer. And people convince themselves that this crap tastes good.
Go figure!

I hope you guys know the rule:
Never eat a banana in front of another man.
That's what I heard, anyway.
