Muley Gil

Muley, I'm sorry you had to go through this. As one who spent similar hospital/rehab time after having both of my knees replaced in the same week, I can offer this advice: 1. Keep a positive attitude, because no matter how much you're inconvenienced now, you're going to end up much better. 2. Do everything your physical therapist tells you to do. 3. Be nice to your nurses. Especially the cute ones.

We're looking forward to having you back here soon.

Hope you get to feeling better soon and get back to the Forum. Your input is missed.

Late to the game of well-wishers but I also am hoping your recover is steady and reliable. I'm very familiar with back issues and agree with following all of the good advice. Your opinion matter Gil, we all enjoy your posts and I for one value your approval of anything I have posted. Slow and steady...

An Update:

I talked to Gil a few minutes ago. He is still very weak. PT and OT are working with him on gaining strength but it is a slow process. When he gains strength, he can go home. It's a long hard process. I will say that when I talked to him today he sounded better than he did last Wednesday.

He said he appreciates everybody's prayers and concern very much.

Best wishes. Last time I was hospitalized, they told me it'd take a week for each day I was in to get back to normal. They mis-spoke. Take it easy getting back on your feet, it's gonna take time, and it's gonna be frustrating. I hooked a cane over the head board to help get me out of bed for awhile.
