15-3 Nickel question

Actually, two questions. Did many 15-3's ship from the factory with a nickel finish? If so, wouldn't there be a N stamped somewhere?

Shooter-2, I would swear I just saw saw a post about them. Pictures and everything! Right below my reply is a similar post about nickel 15-3s. Dude, if you have any pics of the gun you may have in question, we like gun porn, ya know!

Jeffrefrig, don't have the gun yet but thinking about buying it. Just wanted to make sure its factory nickel. I will post pics. when/if I buy it. Thanks for replying

A nickel 15-3 will be marked with an N on left side of the grip frame and rear of cylinder, possibly under extractor.

Here's two of mine...The 2" has the N stamped on the back of the cylinder and the grip frame...

The 4" is N stamped on the grip frame, but I do not have a clear enough picture of the cylinder to show the stamp...I would bet it's there though...Ben
