Thanks Trey, price was the main motivation but since I bought my model 4046, I've really come to appreciate its DAO trigger and great accuracy. I'm hoping this one will be similar in both regards.

I don't believe this was an anomaly. This particular shop does very high volume and all of its employees are gun people, with at least a couple of decades of experience. It's just a great shop! I can only assume they purchased it for $250 or less, or perhaps as part of a collection. The gun was priced at $300 with two magazines, but the clerk stated he also had two extra magazines in storage that he would sell me for $30 dollars each. When he processed the total sale, he gave me a little extra discount for paying in cash. Thus, the total of $366.91 tax included. This store traditionally has reasonable pricing on both new and used inventory but for some reason older metal guns periodically are priced very low. I was just lucky enough to be the first one to see and realize what it was and jump on it. The clerk did mention it was just added to inventory the day before I bought it. I am certainly thankful that they conduct their business in a manner that benefits their customers and I am a frequent customer. One other interesting thing about this shop is that all of the guns are displayed, gun only. Sometime tags list extras, sometimes they don't. You only find what's included at time of purchase. In this case I didn't know about the box, until the clerk said he had to go to the storeroom, before going to the cash register.

I gave it a try today. It shoots much better than I can. The trigger is firm but smooth and I couldn't feel a break point. Overall, I'm really happy with it and may make it my EDC. Here are today's results.

Around here the DAO guns don't sell. When I picked up my 6946 a couple years ago I think I paid $300. Dealer seemed happy to get rid of it.
The market wants plastic striker guns. Metal DAO of any brand is a tough item to move.

So are we to assume the hits in the 7, 8, 9, 10 ring are the gun shooting by itself. I'd like to see that.
