They work and I've used them, but there is a potential problem. If the line breaks while you're pulling one through the bore, getting it out is extremely difficult.
I used this one but after 8 or 9 times it got soft and didn't do much to clean the 12 gauge. It also began to stink so much I had to leave it on the porch. Guess I will have to find a new one.
I think some reused TP during the Covid-19 debacle.I know a lot of people like and use them but it just seems to me that you're dragging debris and fouling back through the chamber and barrel over again with each pass .....almost like reusing toilet paper I think !
As you might have guessed I am not a fan of them .
If I just want a quick cleaning I'll use a patch on a pull through and replace with a fresh patch after each pass.
While they seem to be quite popular they're not for me.
"Bore snakes"... Like so very many of the semi-regular "arguing" threads, nothing changes. Opinions are all the same as last time. No one is converted. Most respondents are probably the same. Does anyone feel like they benefit from such a discourse?
My bidet.... i mean shower is right next to the toilet. Squeaky clean every time!I think some reused TP during the Covid-19 debacle.
