They're pretty cheap, $21, but are they any good?

Made in the same Plant as Wolf which I and several others have used, I can not say they are the same only in different packaging but can't imagine them being any different. If i could find some locally and not have to buy a case I would certainly try them.

It is on their website that they are made in the same plant and I too would find it hard to believe that they were significantly different than Wolf.

Wolf primers have served me well for the past 3 years. I bought 10,000 when they came out, 5000 Large, 5000 small. Not one FTF because of the primer. I bought more, 5000 small rifle, 2000 Magnum Large Pistol and 3000 more small pistol just before the election in '08.

I gave $18/1000 for them then. Widner's just had a sale on their Wolf and I bought 15,000 more. Large rifle, small rifle, small pistol and magnum large pistol.

Here is what I have noticed about them though; they are not as hard as CCI and not as soft as Federal, about the same as Winchester in this regard. Also, I have found that across the chronograph the small pistol, rifle and large standard primers perform just like Winchester. The only thing I can say "negatively", and it really isn't, is that for true magnum performance you need to get their magnum variety primers.

For instance, the worst performance with 2400 in the 44Mag came with Federal primers. High ES and SD were the norm. Switched to Wolf and found that it was some better and finally to Winchester that are geared toward both type of loads. The numbers came into the single digits, right where I like them. I got similar performance with the Wolf Magnum large pistol primers and 2400, small ES and SD.

Wolf are my go to primers now and I cannot imagine Tula are any different. Could be wrong though. @ $22/1000 and a $20 hazmat fee, you probably can still save money in comparison to the other brands right now. Get a few friends together and buy a bunch! I got those 15,000 with one hazmat fee. From what I was told by another supplier, you can get 40,000 and still have only one hazmat charge. That would spread that $20 over quite a few primers!

Beats the heck out of $35.00 locally !
I can not tell the difference between them and Winchesters either.
Federals are the only primers that I find much different, they seem soft even when loading .
The Wolfs packaging is also annoying for a person such as I, the RCBS hand primer requires me to flip them , not a big deal though, less hassle then Federals with their oversize box !!
