I had to go there today for business. As usual, I was more than a couple of hours early and thought I could take an extended trip over to Pat's Reloading Supplies. Nothing doing, 2hrs + round trip and I just couldn't squeeze it in BUT I did call him.

Seems he had to take some time off for some personal reasons and wouldn't be available at his place. So, like the addict I am, I asked if there was someplace near me that I could go and hang out for a while.

This is one cool store and I thought I had seen it all until I was about to leave. The whole time I was there I didn't see any reloading stuff and I thought Pat had told me that they had some. When I turned around, I saw a stairway leading down and the first thing I saw at the bottom of those steps was reloading presses. I WENT DOWN THOSE STAIRS!

All I can say is WOW!

There was every brand of press there except Dillon. Hornady, LnL & the AP ($389), RCBS, Lee, Lyman. There were 4lb and 8lb jugs of powder as well as the 1lb ones. Bullets galore, primers 3 shelves high and 20' long!

Prices were normal for the market now. Federal standard primers, $30ish. 8lbs of Unique, right at $100, and they had PLENTY!

There were out of 44cal 225gr FTX bullets but had plenty of others. I brought home the 140gr 35cal ones to try in my wife's Marlin 1894 and a box of 25gr 45cal (.452") to try in my Puma and other assorted 45Colts and 45ACP's!

They had lots of stuff and were really nice folks. They even had a range in the basement but I think it was just for testing out used guns. Still, pretty cool.

At any rate, their powder selection isn't on the web. Maybe they won't sell over the internet.

If you live in the area though, or want to plan an outing and live within driving distance, make the trip!

It is a pretty cool store. Lots of stuffed animals. Like a Gander Mountain. Very similar only lots more reloading stuff.

My brother lives in Ohio and he came upon Fin, Feathers, & Fur a bit by accident. Apparently a VERY cool shop with some great deals. Tonight he was asking my opinion on his first semi, which will be a 9mm primarily for target shooting. Went over the Sigma, SD-9, and the M&P. Right now it looks like he'll be getting the M&P 9mm with the 4.25 inch barrel, for a really outstanding price of just 460 bucks. Hope he snaps that one up quickly because that's a price I don't expect to be around long.

I've bought a lot of reloading supplies from them over the years. Mostly 8# kegs of powder & cases of primers. Their excellent people to deal with!!!!

Found them years ago when they were building the holiday inn down the street from them. I was there for a month installing the doors, wood trim & drop ceilings in the holiday inn & stayed in the motel across the street from it. I was in fin, fur & feather sooooo much they almost put me on the payroll.

I've been dealing with Fin ever since they were selling out of nothing more than a trailer just down the road from where they are now. They do have a nice selection and have come a long way over the years. It takes a little more than an hour for me to get there but I always make it worth the while.
There are a couple of more stores similar in size, Buckeye Outdoors in Hebron, just off I-70 and Sportsman Den in Shelby, N/W of Ashland. All of them beat the heck out of going to Cabelas in WV. At one time Vance's in Columbus used to be the place to go but since these three have come along I haven't been there in years. Vance and Buckeye are really one in the same now since they own Buckeye Outdoors too. Our local dealer finally went big time also but hasn't quite made it to the big league like Fin or Buckeye but he still carries a pretty good selection. It's called Woodbury Outfitters. If anyone is ever in Roscoe Village or Coshocton and have some time to kill it may be worth the stop. They're located on 2nd street in Coshocton, Ohio.

Congratulations, you have just found the best place to buy reloading supplies in the state of Ohio! They do have some good buys on new and used guns at times too. Its one of the only places I shop these days --can't beat the selection or the prices.

I live in Ohio, about 1 hour from Ashland. Great store, good prices, especially on sale items. I have bought several revolvers from them as well as reloading supplies and a large safe. They send out flyers every now and then with some really good sale prices - worth the drive for me.

When OGCA was at the IX Center, we would stop at FFF on the way home every time. I too remember when they were down the road. We watched that building get expanded several times along the way before they moved to the new building. The first time we went after they built the new building, we drove right by it heading to the old building. I thought at first they had gone out of business...

You guys are not mentioning Grampa's Cheese Barn. If nothing else, it was the landmark we would give to those looking for directions to FFF.

I got my gunsafe from FFF, back in the day, the owner delivered it to my home in Columbus in his pickup truck. Things have changed for the better for the owner for sure.

PIE! You forgot to mention they have a great selection of PIE. I didn't know it was the last family owned store, but we have eaten there a time or two. I am always amazed at the great selection of pies they have. To bad they don't give free samples of PIE away like Grampa's Cheese Barn gives away cheese samples.

Looks like I am going to have to "schedule" another company trip to Ashland just to take advantage of ALL of the sights!

I was there last week. They had very good prices on their "specials" but I just happened to be poor that day...
I think they have most anything for the sportsman...

I'm about 45 min away and going tomorrow. Thinking of some different powder for the 45. Maybe Titegroup or W231.

Well, I can tell you this, whatever you want, it will be there! MAN, do they have the powder!

Maybe we should plan a meeting at Fin, Feather and Fur. Some of us in the Columbus area could car pool up.

I'm in Mansfield at least once a month and usually make the 'nother 10 miles up I-71 to The Fin. Good folks and a lot of gear. Three floors of quality goodness. I will attest to the fact that their reloading area is larger than most gun shops. They also have a separate kiosk with a dedicated employee in the knife department and hundreds of Case, Buck, Kershaw and other knives.
Stupid as this sounds, when you're in the check out line spend $4 on one of their store logo fly swatters. It's heavy gage galvanized steel wire and a leather swat. Last fly swatter you'll ever need.
Oh, one word of advice. CLOSED MONDAYS!

Walnutred, Thats a good idea. The gun club I use is free if the members are invited and its considered a club function. I'll make the announcement when the date is picked and post it in the lounge. I try to pick a weekend with no NE ohio gun show and late enough so there won't be any surprise snow storms. If I use Fin I'd have to have no gun show in the whole state. Larry
