It comes with a flat steel plate for mounting but two stands are also sold. I would like one of these to hold it up off the bench higher.

Anyone know what makes the Advanced well, so advanced??

Does it have to do with holding/using a charging block underneath?

Actually the Hornady might be better as it allows you to quickly remove the measure and turn it over to dump the powder.

Mine is on the regular RCBS powder measure stand, it was all they had when I got mine, and it works fine. I have never seen the advanced one so I don't know what makes it advanced!

Which RCBS stand you pick depends on if you are going to equip you measure with the optional micrometer adjustment stem. It will hit the back of the regular stand unless you offset the measure. The Advanced stand is taller and cut out in the back to provide clearance for the micrometer. All that said, I really don't like a stand. I find that my loading block always hits the back of the stand. I would much rather use the bracket that comes with the measure and install it on a sturdy shelf above the bench.

Hope that helps.

Yes, it does. Can you get front to back of your loading block?

I mounted my Lee PP measure on a scrap piece of 2 x4 painted black which raised it up. I think I will do the same with this. Maybe a 4x4 as the Lee was on a metal stand.

Thanks

In their product catalogs they say their trickler combo requires the advanced stand. I haven't seen one but I can see where it would get in the way of a loading block, which I don't use that way but I still like the extra room the old style gives.

Doesn't that plate that came with yours have two large holes? It is designed to either be mounted with screws to your bench or whatever block, shelf, stand etc. that you want to make for the purpose, or it can also be mounted to the press next to the seat/crimp die. That little plate comes in handy too. I have my bench mounted Uniflow mounted to an old style stand with a Lyman No. 55 hanging off of the stand with the plate.

Yes, One hole is to thread on the measure, the other goes under a die locking nut. Then there are two small holes to screw it in to a bench or where ever.
I want to mount it on a separate strip of plywood so I can move it wherever I want. I have by Lee set up this way and can place it where I want and c clamp it down. I only use it for rifle or large max charge magnums where I weigh each one. The rest of my blasting ammo I just use the Lee Pro on the turret which dispenses automatically.

I'll "invent something":) Thanks

I have my Uniflo mounted in a Redding stand that fits the #3 powder measure. Since I usually throw the powder into a scale pan, it works just fine.

The Redding RS-6 Powder Measure Bench Stand is a great way to securely fasten any powder measure that has standard 7/8"-14 threads to a solid work surface while providing just the right amount of elevation.

Technical Information

Fits: Any powder measure with standard 7/8"-14 threads
Function: Elevate powder measure stand above work surface
Material: Cast Iron
Notes: Measure stand is not threaded. Powder measures fit inside the top opening allowing the reloader to easily remove the measure when finished reloading to dump excess powder back into the original container

...I change powders a lot.

I have both the RCBS- and the Redding.
(Redding FTW).
Really, it only takes 20 seconds to take the nut off. Hand tight works.
