Pre-Lubed bullets
I'm new to hand loading. I've been using Hornady lead that is "pre-lubed". Are Speer lead bullets "pre-lubed"? Are these dry lubes comparable to the manually applied lubes?
Thanks in advance.

The Speer swaged lead bullets are coated in lubricant. Load and shoot.
I don't think there is enough lube there for magnum velocity but it is fine for moderate target loads. I shot a lot of Speer wadcutters in my PPC days.

Most lead bullets you buy will have lube on them already.

i load 158gr Speer LSWCHP's to plus p velocities according to the speer manual. I get no leading. They say that they use a special type of lube to achive this.

I'm still trying to figure what that dry lube is. I'm sure if you handle them too much then you aren't doing yourself any favors. I still plan on tumble lubing my slow linker cast bullets, but right now I have a new to me Lyman 450 that is making my hair turn gray.
