Buying Jacketed And Plated Bullets In Bulk
Can someone please post a link to the cheapest place to buy plated and jacketed bullets in bulk ? ( 1000 at a time ) .
Midway is not very cheap on that stuff and they don't carry a full line .
I'm looking for .38, .44, and .45acp projectiles .
Thanks,
Nick

Try Graf & Sons; they sell Berry plated bullets, Hornady, Speer, Nosler, etc. jacketed and Cast Performance lead bullets. I just ordered 100 CP 265 grain 41 caliber and 250 Berry 210 grain 41 caliber; they have free shipping and only a small handling charge. The Berry bullets are available in bulk; not sure about the others.

I think Powder Valley has them fairly well priced. Another vendor is Precision Delta.

One last question . How do you load these non cannelure plated bullets for revolvers and avoid bullet jump ? I load on a Dillon 550 .

Using the roll crimp die I adjust the crimp until I can only see about half of the case mouth next to the bullet.
This forms an annular ring on the bullet.
Be sure to bell the case enough to seat the bullet. Otherwise the case can scrape off the plating.
Others use a taper crimp. YMMV

XL650 loading Berry's all the time.
Taper crimp and just enough of a kiss to pass a "go-no go" case gauge.

I just received my first Zeros from Roze Distribution today, ordered them on Saturday. They look very nice and were reasonably priced. I would buy from them again.

Precision Delta. 9mm 115FMJ $82/1000 shipped. Their prices have gone up quite a bit.

Agreed, but you need to buy by the case (around 4000 for 9 mm, 115 grain) for the really good prices. Note that their prices include shipping.

I have had great experience with the extreme brand thick plating even with cannelure.
I have no affiliation at all, I ordered on Sunday of last week and had the box at my door on Wednesday. Oh yeah free shipping

I like the looks of the XTreme with the cannelure. Are they as good of quality as they look ? Shoot Good ?

I just loaded some Xtreme 158 gr .357 SWC plated with Universal. Haven't been to the range yet, but they seem to be of good quality. I like that they have a crimp grove, unlike Berry and Rainier. They are good about shipping, and will get as many boxes as they can in the flat rate shipping box. For me, that would be 1500 bullets, or three boxes. They were less than Berry's after taking shipping into consideration.

Nothing wrong with lead if you want to save. Plating doesn't get you much but a pretty bullet.

I like Xtreme bullets. I use them for 38 special and wimpy 357. IMO, they are a better quality than Berrys or Rainer.
