Default Rainier Plated Bullet Accuracy?

Pretty good Berry's Plated bullet input here:

Berry's Bullets - Report Your Recent Experience

What I'm wondering is, if anyone has any input on a side by side, Rainier vs Berry accuracy comparison?

I'm a real nut for accuracy, & normally shoot hard cast. I've never loaded plated, & have been wondering lately if I'm missing the boat in some way.

I typically load mid-range 158LSWC .357 - for a 4" 686, & 200LSWC or 230TC .45acp - for either a 4" 625-3, or 1911's (4.25" or 5").

Was thinking about initially trying out Rainier, in either a 158 FP, or HP for the 686. It's hard not to notice all the Berry's fans on this forum though.

So what about it, cost considerations aside, is there an accuracy differnce between the two manufactures?

Thanks in advance for any input!

the Rainier bullets seem to do rather well. I use them in some loads when I want something less smokey than my usual cast.
That seems to be the main thing is that it offers a clean load option at a reasonable price.

I've used Rainiers or Berry's exclusively for over 10 years. That's approximately 100k+ rounds. In my experience... no difference in accuracy.

The last 2 or 3 years I've used mostly Berry's, based on price and availablity.

I used to use them in 45ACP. 230gr and there was no difference at all. The plating on the Berry's is a bit heavier and could be pushed a bit harder. I have done that and used moderate jacketed data for them when pushing them a bit. I did have a bit of feeding issues in my 1911 with one of them but I honestly cannot remember which! haha

The bliss of getting older!

But, let me put it like this: If you can tell the difference between the two, you are a Ransom Rest and not a person.......
