Default What prices are you for lead and lead wheel weights ???

I am just curious what you are all paying for lead and 5 gal buckets of wheel weights these days? Other than getting real hard to get,i am paying 35.00 for 5 gal bucket of weights which
will yeid 3/4 bucket of lead weights. Ican also get recyled indoor range smelted lead at .90/lb. I prefer wheel weights but as i said there getting hard to find. I got lucky and a recycler delivers them to me,for 35 a pail!

I haven't bought any wheel weights but I do work in a tire store,The time to stock up on wheel weights is now! All of our new weights have been steel for over a year now & the old weights we are pulling are mostly steel/non lead.

Jimbo - don't know where you live, but in many areas around the country, 35/bucket isn't bad, even with the steel & zinc, etc. You can purchase WW ingots already done up for 1 buck per pound, shipped. Sometimes, especially with the range lead, it may not be worth the hassle and work for a buck a pound. Just a thought. Mike

Like gmiller says, better stock up now. Ours in Wa state have been steel for a while now. Best to shoot in an area where your boolits can be recycled. A small sand bank behind paper targets works for me.
