What to do with the powder
from the loaded bullets that you take apart. I had about 400 41 Magnum rounds loaded up when i traded off my 41 mag for something I thought I needed more. I'm in the process of taking them apart, but I find myself wondering what to do with the powder. the cases and projectiles can be sold, but I have over 700 grains of 2400, 500 grains of H 110 and I'll have a good amount of Unique by the end of today.
Is there any reason not to reuse this?

No reason that I know of if you're sure the powders can't be mixed by mistake during disassembly. Should be just as good as if in a can as far as I can tell. Good luck!

That would have been a great range trip before you sold the 41 mag.

Engineer, i really liked the .41. the problem came about when there was a very clean 586 at the LGS that seemed to be calling my name. I had owned some different 357s, Ruger security six, S&W 28, but this one was special. At the time I had just retired, money was a little tight so something had to go, so so long Blackhawk. I'll probably wind up with another, but I want double action this time. And I really like shooting the 586, more than the Blackhawk, for sure.

If they are YOUR reloads and you are SURE WHAT powder it is you can just reuse it.
If any doubts fertilize the grass or bushes. If I break apart someone else reloads, I like to put it in a pile and burn it!. It goes up real quick!

You can always use it as fertilizer if you are unsure if it's been mixed up or what type it is.

I know what powder it was, from my notes and the labels, have been dismantling and dumping powder in separate tubs. Any spillage is wiped into trash. Just wasn't really sure why i couldn't reuse it, as long as it is what it is and not mixed up. It might not be so valuable if the powder market loosens up.

What usually happens with me is that about the time I finish pulling all of them down or as in my case giving the ammo to a friend (and selling him my Dillon 41 Mag dies I end up buying another 41 Mag (because like you I really like the 41 Mag) and have to start over from scratch buying new brass, bullets and dies.
My advice from first hand experience gained the hard way is that, unless you really need the powder and money from selling the components, you should put the well marked loaded ammo on the shelf for the next 41 Mag you buy.

This isn't an answer to your question but when I sell a gun and get out of a caliber, especially if I think I might get another one someday, I leave the ammo on my shelf. Properly stored it keeps forever. If I reacquire a gun in that caliber, I'm good to go. I learned that lesson when I sold a deluxe .270 years ago and sold my stash of components for that caliber. When I reacquired another .270, I had to pay much more for the stuff than what I got when I sold it. This is also why my basement is a mess!

The best answer is shoot it all BEFORE you sell the gun

I agree shootingthem would have been fun but since the gun is gone I see no reason not to save and reuse the powders, especially since powder is so hard to fund these days. Unique and 2400 are especially hard to find out there!

As scarce as powder is.....
As scarce as powder is I would definitely use it to reload. If not, gunpowder = nitrocellulose which has loads of nitrogen which is a great fertilizer as long as you spread it THINLY.

Why not use it? Just make sure you keep it separate.
