Looking for 7.62x25 brass for reloading. Willing to buy some at a reasonable price. Let me know if there is any available. Thanks.

I make mine out of 223 or 5.56 NATO brass. I cut off neck with a table top band saw, full length size in 7.62x25 die trim to length ream inside of neck to .308. I load mine to 30 Mauser specs, but the brass will handle any of the pressure levels of 7.62x25 including the hot Machine Gun loads. Use the correct primer for your loading data. Ivan

Got some by constantly checking starlines website.

One caution - apparently the reformed .223 brass works well in the 7.62x25 case, but the extractor groove is too short for the 7.63 Mauser. This can break the extractor on the C96. Planojack

I have 2 TT-33. I have decided to make my own brass. I have so much 223 brass I can afford to convert some over

I hadn't had any problems in my C-96. The were wonderful for very hot loads in a CZ-52. I used LC mil brass, which is beefed up a little for use in the SAW. So maybe there wasn't much expansion at the head and extracted easy. Ivan

Any experience using 110g bullets with unique or 231 powder?

I just went and checked the shelf, this is the load I used. It worked for me, but as always you are responsible for your own stuff. I used my reformed brass (a check of head stamps shows mixed military, not just LC 73), 90 grain LRN (I think it is the Lyman mould), 5.2 Bullseye, CCI 500 primer. The data I used estimated 1400 fps. I loaded these in 3/94 so the primers are of the good old pre EPA ban on lead in primer compounds. I made 200 at the time and have 100 left. My other 100 brass went to CZ-52 HOT LOADS. I shot these from an imported from China C-96 with very little rifling left in it , at the time I got 2" groups at 50 yards using the tangent sights and shoulder stock (Better than the Bulgarian surplus). My notes don't say where I got the load, but It may be from Lyman #45. Hope this is useful. Ivan
