Default Reload Data for 158 grain LSWC using Power Pistol

I have been enjoying shooting my 686-6 with a 4 inch barrel 357 Mag revolver. I normally shoot a lot of 45ACP and 9MM in a 1911.
I shot a lot of HBWC shooting 25 yards and 50 yards with the 686. I had an Ultra Dot red dot sight on it and it was amazing how accurate it shot. I removed the sight and am shooting with factory Iron Sights.
I have a over three thousand 158 grain LSWC. and LRN, I was using 6.3 grains of Unique and the round and the pistol worked really well.
I ran out of Unique powder and started using 4.5 grains of Bullseye. The Bullseye is dirty. I want to save the B.E. for my 45ACP loads in my 1911's.
I have a few Kegs of Power Pistol and want an accurate load with a nice punch for target shooting with the 357 Mag.
I cannot find a load data for the 357 Mag LSWC using Power Pistol. .
I see a load in the Speer reloading manual #14 for a 357 magnum with a 158 grain FMJ using 7.5 grains to 8.5 grains of Power Pistol.
Would it be safe to drop the load by 10% to shoot the LSWC I have. I would start it at 6.5 grains and go from their. The speed for these bullets would be around 1,000 FPS. I am not worried about leading.
Using that much powder should I use the Magnum primers I have or stick with the regular SPP?
Thanks for any help.

Hello, looked on loaddata's website and found 7.5grs of power pistol for 357 mag. They say its a mid range load. 4" barrel velocity says 1180 fps.

Here is a old thread with some data

Power Pistol in .357 ?

Not al lot out there as PP is relatively new and the load dtat has not caught up. I use a lot of it in 9mm and 40 SW. I think it would be great in the 357 Mag.

If you Google some more you will find loads.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. The reason I had P.P. is from loading 9mm.
I am not a Unique fan. It is pretty dirty.
I set up the Dillon XL 650 and loaded 20 with 6.6 grains of P.P.. I will d the same with 7.2 grains, I will run to the range sometime this and see what I like then run off the last of the 158 grain bullets.
I want to load as much as I can now, I do not like when it is real hot in the summer to reload. I have some HBWC for 38 special brass, then switch to 1000 rounds of 380 and finish all of the 45ACP I have left.
My next project is picking up a 45ACP revolver and selling off a Sig Sauer C3 45ACP 4.25 inch 1911 and a FNHerstal FNP 9MM.
Thanks again

I loaded 20 each 158 grain LSWC with 6.3 grains of power pistol, and 20 of the same with 7.3 grains of power pistol. Both shot fine. For LSWC and target I will stick with the 5.8 to 6.3 grains of Power Pistol. The 7.3 grain was a stout load and got some leading in the barrel.
P.P. shot clean and is now going to my go to instead of Unique.

I, too, have had pretty good results with PP under lead in both .38 Special and .45 Colt. It also behaved well in a 442 under the 135 Speer Gold Dot. It was not nearly as "flashy" and "blasty" as out of a 1911 .45 with 230 FMJ.

I use PP in several calibers. It is a very good powder for mid range loads in 357 Magnum. Out of my 4 inch 686 it does 1002 FPS with 6.8 grs Of Power Pistol. The bullet I use is SNS 158 gr coated LSWC. No Leading and no pressure signs and very accurate. That average of 1002 FPS is the average of 10 shots with the screens 10 feet from the muzzle.

Thanks for your info with the chrono. I finished up the last of my 158 grain LSWC. I loaded them with 6.4 grains of Power Pistol. I had good results with them as I stated. I ordered another 3,000 LSWC.
I use 4.9 grains of Power Pistol in 9mm with 122 grain LFNBB. Shoots well out of a 5 inch L.B. 1911. Very accurate and clean to shoot.
