Frankfort Arsenal Handheld deprimer
I just got an email flyer from Grafs and Sons with a new tool from Frankford Arsenal for depriming brass by hand with spent primer cup. Looks like a neat product, not sure if it would be something that would catch on.

I use something similar to that for depriming my Black Powder cases in the field, so they can soak. Ivan

I hope the four easy steps to deprime mean four easy steps to set up the deprimer.
The only reason I can see for using a handheld deprimer is to more easily deprime cases in prep for cleaning. Otherwise, I would prefer to deprime and size in the same operation on the press.

Perhaps targeting the stainless steel media tumbling crowd, since Frankford Arsenal introduced that new tumbler last year.

My hand ache's just thinking about using it. I'll stick to my bench press.

It looks like a decent tool as long as you aren't planning to do any brass with crimped primers.

Yes, (mostly) the water-based cleaning folks who like to do part of the work in front of the TV rather than down in the reloading room, and whose hands are young enough to use that tool in volume

In my opinion, we now have a Dumb Answer for that famous "Dumb Question".

Looks like too much trouble. I find it easiest to just dump them in the case feeder of my LNL-AP and run them through a decapping die. Less handling of the individual cases just makes it smoother for me.

If it was a priming tool, then I might consider. I just prefer to deprime on my press. If they would modify it so it could prime and deprime the same range of calibers, then I believe it would fly off the shelf.

Despite the naysayers, I can see it filling a niche for some. My reloading equipment has to be set up as I don't have a dedicated space for reloading. It would be handy for me if I didn't feel like clearing space for reloading.

Do you think you could practice dry firing while using it?
