Looking to load .40 hornady XTP 180 grain bullets over power pistol for my m&p......any thoughts?

i have good results with mid-range loads with that combo but also have as good results with the other powders I have tried with that bullet

K thanks......hopefully someone will fill me in that has the hornady manual...

My Hornady manual doesn't show any loads for that bullet using PP.

Hornady #8 lists: 180gr XTP/HAP/FMJ with Power Pistol

5.1gr/850fps -> 7.1gr/1050fps (.5gr=50fps increments)

.

Reloading manuals make good accessories/investments for your reloading hardware.

Thanks BLUEDOT37.....I have the new lyman manual but it doesn't have that bullet......thanks again

There is the little Lyman load data manual that has 380, 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP.

It list a 180 Sierra JHP with power Pistol powder but does not list as much powder as the above XTP information.......
but I found that is has a "Safety area" with most of its top loads, which is a good thing.

booklet runs around $10 in most sport stores.
Good loading.
