I'm working on a 10mm shotshell. So far it works well in my 10mm revolver and loads and works well in my semi-auto. In the semi-auto it has to be single loaded as it is too long to fit in a magazine. I'll eventually cut the shot capsule down to try to get it to feed. I'm using 10mm magnum brass necked down in a .357 sig sizer die. A .38.357 Speer shot capsule loaded with no. 12 shot. The powder is W231 and I am using an over-powder wad made from a plastic water jug.

How many shots did you give......

How many shots did you give that target? I was disappointed with them in .38 size, but that looks pretty impressive. I've thought the the .44 caliber would make a better cartridge, but you seem to have hit a good spot in the middle.

One shot.

Most people have bad luck with snake shot in their pistols because they don't pattern them. They just assume that they shoot to point of aim. Not always true. Get a 30"X30" piece of paper and put an aiming dot in the middle. Don't use anything heavier than cardboard as a backer. Shot may bounce off of a hard surface. Back off to snake shooting distance and try a shot. Look where the majority of the pattern lands and then you will know whether to aim high or low, left or right etc.

#12 "dust" is pretty small for energy.................
do you plan to try #9 or #8 pellets in the future ?

Yes I do. I happen to have some on hand and will give them a try.
