Round Nosed Semi Wadcutter 45
Some years back I used to buy allot of my cast bullets from Kead Bullets (in Texas if memory serves). This company was very popular with the IDPA crowd too. Good Bullets, good prices, great service. Then the owner ran into some health issues and got backed up well over a years worth of orders. ( Mine included) Last I heard, he was (sadly) out of business.
Anyway, George Kead developed a unique and functional bullet shape that I have only seen available from his company. It was a 200 gr RNSWC design for the 45 acp. They looked and fed like a round nose yet had an ever so slight edge that made a much cleaner hole for paper punching. I think of that bullet now as it used to be a favorite and I just stumbled onto my last 100 or so in the ammo locker.
Sure would like to find more of these "do all" bullets if I could.
Anybody know of anything close out there these days?

Thanks, that one looks like it might have a little bit of a ridge to cut paper. Missouri makes good stuff anyway, I'll give them a shot.

Yes , I use them but they don't load so well into a 625 revolver or run reliably in some early model semi autos. This bullet did it all.

I looked into some....
I looked into some RN WCs just a few weeks ago and found some on the web in .38/.357 but I can't remember who had them. But they are out there.

They look a lot like H&G #519s!

I've had a SAECO mould #265 for years that casts what looks like the same or a very similar bullet; certainly an unusual design among bullet moulds.
I haven't used this one in a while, but with wheelweight alloy, I think bullets weigh around 210 - 216 grs.
