Default 38/44 bullets

Can I use jacketed bullets in my 38/44 or am I restricted to cast bullets?

Depends on whether we're talking about the .38-44 Target in the New Model #3, or the .38-44 High Velocity of the Heavy Duty and Outdoorsman. Big difference ! Lead only in the Target, any.38 bullet you like in the HV.

Yes, but, the question was about the .38-44, not .38-40!

Thanks. I stand corrected. I had a brain cramp and forgot about the venerable .38-44.

I was referring to a 38/44 Outdoorsman. Thank you for the replies.
