Ok I give up
With the ammo costs. Getting back into reloading. I moved down to NC a couple years ago, and before I moved I sold all my reloading stuff(Hornady AP press, etc etc etc etc).
Just bought a Square Deal set up for 9mm for more than I sold my stuff for....never said I was the brightest person I guess.
Now on the hunt to primers and powder....wish me luck

I think you really need to master the concept "buy low and sell high"...not the other way around.

Don't feel bad.
We have all made a bad decision some where down the line that we wish that we could take back but that is life.
I have lots of old things collecting dust, just in case.

Never, ever sell gun stuff!
Advice from a friend 50 years ago when I was a rookie.
Sure wish I had listened to him on some of the guns!

I think you made the right choice. But at the wrong time. There aren't any powders or primers out there either. If you do find some, expect the price to be outrageous.

You should have looked for powder and primers first. Would have saved you some money.

Your best bet is to do what the rest of us reloaders are doing, sign up for email notifications for components at as many places as possible. I like Graf and Sons for powder and primers, but I would also try Midway and Brownells. Sorry, I can't think of any other places, but that's the general idea. Good luck.

Reloading and Casting Rules :
#1) Do not ever sell any reloading or casting stuff .
It always will cost you twice as much as it did the first time .
#2) Never ever Lend casting and reloading stuff out ... they can use it but at your bench . Brother in Laws are the worst .
Good Luck ... Keep your stuff this time .

I wish you luck my friend, but right now is a very bad time to be trying to get into reloading.

I did the same after losing a leg. Never thought I could do this again.
My new Dillon is set up for HBWC's I use for bullseye. You may get lucky and find components.
Good luck

I think you'll need a boatload of luck. Or a boatload of cash.

We have all made that mistake, thinking we won't need something anymore. Some times it comes back to bit us.
If I moved I would have to let a lot of things go too, but glad I don't have to do that. I've got enough component's that I'll be able to pass them on to my children.

Yellolab, when you give up on finding components to feed that Square Deal progressive press, I might be willing to take it off of your hands. I bought a bunch of components over the years (“Buy cheap-stack deep”) and a modest amount of 9mm ammo, then started a custom build of my 9mm Franken-Smith. I have the stuff to convert my Dillon 550 to 9mm but never have... it gets used for other things.
You probably won’t have much trouble recovering your investment so far, but if you’re planning on using it to reload any time in the near future, you’ll need to be incredibly lucky to buy supplies at anything less than scalper prices. Sorry to be a bearer of such bad news, but that’s just the way it seems to be.
