Anyone try using the unis ginex brand primers? I just got 500 of the little guys and have not had time to get to the range with some reloads yet, I'm hoping they will be a good replacement for CCI and other American made primers that are currently unavailable or are priced too high!

I picked up some at Ga. Arms a few months back. Honestly, until reading this I had forgotten buying them.

I'd be interested in your experience with them too.

I know nothing about them, but how bad could they be? They've been in the business a long time.

I had to buy Euro primers for my trap loads when I could not find any win,rem or feder 209 primers and they fired every time.

However I think they might have beeen a wee bit larger in Dia. ?

Load them up and lets all see what those "Puppies" will do !!

I have used the Ginex LP primers for years with perfect success.
I got a big brick of 10k during the last shortage several years ago from American Reloading
and still have enough left to last awhile at the current rate I shoot (not enough).
This was also the period when they were hawking grey market CSB-1 powder.
The packaging is a little slipshod but the primers are top rate.
I place their "power" between CCI on the low side and WLP on the high side.
The ones I have are nicely plated with a gold looking substance that is unique in my experience.
Go ahead and use 'em. They are now my standard LP primer.
Being Euro they can be a little tight especially in nickel cases but I have never been unable to load them.
I use a Sinclair hand primer that has quite a bit of leverage and is pre-set for depth.

I bought 10,000 Ginex SP primers about 4 years ago from Graf's and have used about 7000 of them in a wide variety of cartridges and guns. They have functioned perfectly and I can't see any difference between them and any other primer brand. At the time, they were about $23 per thousand, but I haven't seen them for sale for years. I have no reservations about Ginex primers.

I'm a little embarrassed to say I never heard of them. Since I know nothing about them or the company I await your range report. Thank you for your post.

the only company selling them, trifusion tactical, is listed as a scam site. with every other company advertisings primers in stock

My concern with some vendors now online is the possible scam aspects. If anyone has had good experiences ordering from a vendor, please let us know.

A place called “houseoffirearms” seems to have primers. I don’t know if they are a scam or not. Anyone order from them?

They seat a little tight but work 100% in my Shadow 2. I rate them the same as Winchester primers.

its a scam site, they are part of a group of about 10 scam sites for ammunitionand reloading supplies. pretty much google small pistol primer on google, and in the first 3 pages, anyting that isnt cabelas, midwayusa, natchez, grafs, is going to be a scam

I'd add Widener's, Powder Valley, Butch's, and my local emporium Recob's to that list.
I have never dealt with 3rd Generation or Ammunition Store which seems to specialize in Russian products.
Even though Gunbot says so, none of these have any primers when you check but I am not really looking that hard.

Thank you for this comment. It’s what I suspected.

Guys,
PLEASE report suspicious posts like this by clicking the
report.gif
button at the top of every post and PM. We didn’t notice this crook until today when a member reported a suspicious PM replying to his WTB ad. This piece of trash had almost two weeks to prey on our members. Hopefully, no one was conned and lost money.
