Finally got to go to the range with my favorite DIL so she could shoot her new 4" 9mm with her factory loads and some of my standard 115 & 147 plated bullets to see how they did in her pistol
as far as ejection etc etc.

I also let her shot my 686 6" with a full load 125 gr bullet that woke everyone up. :D
When I pulled it out of the case, she was all smiles and excited,
after 28 rounds she said whoa......... that is quite the gun.
Did I mention it also had the Crimsom trace that she liked, very much.

I tested the 9mm coated bullets for 100% ejection as well as accuracy
and was pretty happy with my groups and how I shot, today.

Here is a picture of the 10 groups with two pistols and no........
that data on the #10 load, is correct, with the type of powder used with the 115 gr LRN coated bullet.

Enjoy.

Nice looking targets for sure. I agree, how well the ammo made with Bullseye and W231 are not a surprise to me.

I use mostly W231 for my 9mm range ammo. For HP bullets I turn to either HS-6 or W572.

May I ask if you have a Bullseye load for 125 to 130gr lead pc coated load?

Ok Ed, my LGS has some 231 and I’m trying it.

Let me express my admiration that you’re good enough to get 10 groups on a 6-place target! :)

I got excited for a few seconds until I saw that your groups were only at 10 feet! I've been working up loads for some time now, using coated 9mm bullets. I've settled on Alliant Bullseye.

Ten feet is a big thing for me.........
after neck surgury and haveing 4 vert's fused and having nerve damage to my shooting arm.
Solid as a rock is now a thing of the past but hay, I still do great with a shotgun.

C'mon Ed! Was that with a rest?

Cheers!

P.S. Thanks for the load data: now, what about that CFE-Pistol?

That range only has a rubber mat table to put your stuff on and
a elec pully system to run your targets in and out with plexi-glass stall deviders.
My secret is a good trigger pull and knowing when the trigger will break........
and following the "Bouncing" front sight until it is "Close" to where I want it.
Even with this "Good day" I still managed to pull a lot of shots off of my intended POA.

I only use the CFE-p for my 115gr plated RN, 5.5gr accuracy load or a 124 HAP full load at 1222fps with 6.0grs of powder.

I also save my BE-86 for full loads with the 147 plated or JHP bullets at 1040fps, for my 9mm loads.

I will try Bullseye, w231 and Green Dot one more time at 4.2 grs and call it good
with this 115 gr LRN coated bullet, that is just for practice use
to double check ejection of the cases, with my hvy spring.

Hope that the loads might have helped a few shooter out, and
a short 1.08 OAL will work if needed, my pistols just liked 1.12" better.

Out of ten very different type loads............
I am still trying to figure out why the HS-6 load was throwing brass cases at my forehead !!
Every thing else behaved.

Later.

Thanks Ed. Those are in line with some test loads I’ve run in the past. My Lee 125 @ 1.075 @ 3.6gr and my Lee 124 @ 1.10 @ 3.8 … will try bump these up .2gr or so each and see how I make out.
