I hate loosing brass. Revolvers sure had me spoiled, I hardly ever lost any brass.
While shooting the new .40 I find myself sometimes looking at the ground before the target??
What are some ways to catch brass from these brass throwin pistols? I have thought to spread out a white bed sheet next to me?

If you're at the sort of range that allows it a cheap blue plastic tarp works well. There are some brass catchers that resemble a fishing net with tripod legs.

Buy a M610 or M625! All those auto rounds can be scooped up real easy then!

Do what I do, stand my nephew about 5-10 feet to my right, then the brass has something to bounce off of! Or if I am really lucky, they get caught in his clothing. Convenience.

I built this one out of a large "dip net" from Bass Pro (be sure and get the fine mesh one). I then cut it off and installed a base in the handle to fit an inexpensive (cheap) camera tripod. It works pretty dern good. The advantage with this set up is I can not only use it on a standard range but it can also be adjusted (easily) to work in the open while standing. Note the two arms supporting the net - holding it open (these are critical to good results).

However, my 625's are 100% brass recovery compared to my 1911's record...
