Does anyone know of a company selling a sizer in .264?

Lee does NOT offer that in their line up of sizer kits. I doesn't look like NOE is selling anything or is out of business. Didn't see one in RCBS either.

This will be used in my 6.5x55 M96 Swede. I have a 170 gr. 2 cavity mold on it's way.

You would think that the wild popularity of 6.5 Creedmore that there would be an interest in cast bullets and sizers.

Lee does offer a sizer kit in 6mm and I thought about having it opened up to .266 by a friend of mine. Your thoughts fellow forum members?

When I had 6.5 Swede rifles, I used a SAECO bullet size die marked .264 and had it professionally opened to .266. This was probably thirty years ago or longer. I don't know who does such work nowadays.

Ivan,
I spoke with steelslaver about this very thing. Am going to wait till the mold arrives, cast a number of them and see what they mic out to. Might not need a sizer.....

6.5 sizer

When I first started casting for my Swede I used a Lyman 450 and found that the long skinny bullets were bending in the middle. I went to the Lee site and had them make a custom .266 sizer which I use with liquid Alox and apply the gas checks when sizing. Cost was $50 and I'm happy with the way everything worked out.

What alloy were you using? Seems too soft!

When I did cast, I always shot them 'as cast' size. A bit oversize was supposed to be good for cast bullet accuracy.
I used alox for lube.
Quick and easy.
I never tried for any land-speed velocity records, so leading wasn't a problem.

I did have a Lyman 450 lube/sizer. But that thing was sheer boredom torture to use.

I had a new Lyman 264, 265 and 266 here a month or so ago Have to see if I sold 'em

358009 would also do that. There is something about the 450/LAM that caused bending of bullets that are overly long per caliber. A straight through die fixes that.
