Here's the official statement:
Hodgdon Powder Company Acquires RCBS Reloading – Hodgdon Powder Company

Maybe they can do something about the absence of Huntington's which we all miss.
Like importing the Woodleigh bullets.

It would be nice if they brought back the custom die operation

Didn’t realize they’d been bought. I hope things don’t change at RCBS, I’ve been a loyal user since the late-90s.

I have used only Pacific, RCBS, Redding, or Forster Bonanza. The most RCBS by far.

My experiences with RCBS customer service could not have been any better. I hope Hodgdon understands the importance of that.

I'm guessing that taking RCBS out of the hands of Vista is a good thing.

I was thinking the same thing, not that Hodgdon hasn't been scalping the American public on powder prices!

Vista has got to go!
Now if we can just get CCI/Speer, Federal and/or Remington components out of their filthy claws (and away from Czech oligarchs) maybe we can get some sanity back in the world of reloading.

I've been wondering if the reloading equipment companies are getting squeezed from both sides. Inflation in their supply chain on one side and falling demand from reloaders due to component inflation and scarcity.

Equipment manufacturers must be heavily dependent on new reloaders. Now that 9mm is almost as cheap to buy as it is to reload that takes out a big percentage of potential customers.

Maybe Hodgdon knows something.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with RCBS customer service. I hope Hodgdon doesn't bugger that up.

Good .... while it's a bit uncertain, it's no longer a Vista Outdoors holding

I just called RCBS tech support with a question about using their X-Die for .308 Winchester. A friendly guy answered the phone, listened to my question, asked me to hold while he grabbed an actual die to make sure his answer was correct, and got me squared away.

It’s early days yet but that was reassuring to me.

I hope they don't change anything. I prefer the RCBS stuff. Dad's Rock Chucker and their dies and I am good to go. I have Hornady and Lee but, like RCBS more.
