Hey guys,
I am looking for a source for uncleaned and unsorted range pick up brass in the Northwest Indiana area. My family does a lot of shooting and reloading, mostly pistol calibers, so it's for private use only. What are my options? I tried a few police ranges but the have a deal with a commercial reloader.

PM me with the info.

Blythes want $35 bucks and Debs wants $50 per bucket. Ouch. Thanks though for the info.

Midway usa wants $290 for 2000 38 special, and that is less than a third of a bucket. Of course this is for new brass. Makes that 35 dollar bucket look pretty good.

Blythes can change in thier brass when they order from a local commercial reloader (Precision Cartridge). I am supprised that they are as low as $35 a bucket.

Where in NWI are you from? Belong to any gun clubs?

Chesterton. No gun clubs yet but I was looking at the Vaplo gun club off of 49. I'd like to do some IDPA shoot as well as steel shoots. Then I need more brass. How about you?

Valpo,
I belong to the Valparaiso pistol and rifle club. This is accually in Boone Grove. I also shoot at Blyths PPC league on Tuesdays and at Deb's gun range during the winter league.

I go to Camp Perry each summer and shoot a few outdoor bullseye matches in Indiana.

This year I plan to shoot in the Bianchi Cup, that looks to be fun.

Sometimes I shoot shotgun down in Wheatfield or Hanna.

Shooting and reloading are my hobbies.

Are you a NRA member, some clubs require it to join. It is a good idea regardless.

Don't miss the gun show Feb 21 and 22 at the PC expo center. I will be working the Friends of the NRA booth for the Lake County Chapter or FNRA. If you make the show stop by the booth and ask for Fred, I can tell you about a few other places to shoot.

Regards,

Fred

Go to the state ranges too.

I have a sweat deal and live in Norther Indiana too. Sorry, no sharing!

Skip, Yes, that could be hit or miss. But still a good deal, but mostly in the summer. Hopefully we could all wait that long. Unfortunately, it looks like we could tell those liberals, I TOLD YOU SO. I don't know all the details, but it looks like today was the second, and BIG step towards social health care. It was slipped in with the stimulus bill. This way it could not be discussed or negotiated. Can someone say "SOCIALISM"?????? Get used to it, here it comes.

Fred,
I will most likely see you there. I have a friend there who will have a booth selling powder and stuff. You might know him. Really good guy. Tom is his name. He usually gets the booth in the northeast corner, if my bearings are straight. See you then

Don’t know if you found a good source for your brass yet but $35- $50 a bucket (depending on bucket weight) might not be such a bad deal with as scarce as everything is now. Bought 5lbs, (about 540 cases 1x fired) of 9mm brass on Gunbroker.com for $6 + $10 shipping and was happy to get it. Worked out to about .03 a case. Desperate times require desperate measures. Now if I can just find primers, not quite ready to pay over $200 for 5,000

Try L.E.O. brass on the net. Pretty good prices by todays standards.
