.32 New Departure Box
Anybody restore boxes? I got this gun in its water damaged box & looking for someone who might want the box. I'm keeping the gun, like new which was rusty on the left side --
I'm wondering if to scrap it or put it in the classifieds & if it might be worth the bother---

If the box is numbered to the gun, you should keep it. Check the bottom for any faint pencil numbers.

You should absolutely not scrap this box. Notwithstanding the fact that it's collectable (even in this condition), it may be the original box for this gun, and an irreplaceable part of this gun's past. As Gary said, check on the bottom for a pencil serial number.
Either way, please don't separate the box from the gun. Once they've been split up, they'll probably never come back together.

That would be like scrapping the original interior of a '67 GTX!!!
You would regret it later.
