Default Parts for Top Break S&W's

FYI
I was corresponding with Jim Horvath in New Orleans and he now has all his top break parts on sale on Gunbroker.

Is he "Drbecker" from Seattle WA? There's a pile of great parts there.

Shoot. I got too excited when I saw that .44 DA barrel and bid on it. I want an extra one for my .44-40 but I think that one is for the russian model. I just sent him a message. If it is indeed the wrong barrel I hope I can recant my bid.

Twaits & others. Be aware the "drbecker" in Seattle's parts listing on Gunbroker are about 75% inaccurate, or incomplete, in the descriptions he posts for the parts. I assume the pictures are what he is selling, but don't go by what he says the parts are for. Just be sure the picture is the picture of the part you want ( and you need to know what your part looks like) Caveat emptor! Ed.

Many of his prices are also about 300% too high!

I don't know anything about his parts, I just bought some screws from him, and he asked me to post that his parts were on Gunbroker.

H Richard, I assume you are referring to Jim Horvath, not "drbecker", correct? If you bought screws from drbecker, you have a good chance of getting screwed! Ed.

I ended up buying the .44 DA barrel. I'm pretty sure it's for the russian model and not .44-40 like mine but for $50 what the heck. If I ever come across a .44 Russian for a good price I will have an extra barrel to make a snubnose out of Since I've never seen a large frame S&W Topbreak as a snubnose I've always wanted to make one.

I had contacted Jim Horvath directly by email based on the contact information listed on the download section on this forum. He informed me his seller ID on Gunbroker is drbecker. Price I paid for the screws was within line, but haven't received them yet, but did receive an email he had received my payment and screws were in the mail, along with a couple extra screws gratis.
