Factory Letter Turnaround Times
Does anyone have recent experience with factory letter request turn-around times? Just asking as I sent a request for a New Model No. 3 in just before Christmas and haven't heard anything yet. In the past, times seemed to average about 3-4 weeks.

I sent a letter 1/2 and figured would be lucky to get 1st week in Feb. but that is just a guess, my first letter.

I mailed my request for a Jinks letter on December 5 and received the letter on Jan 17. The letter was dated January 11 and my check was cashed on Dec 9 which indicated to me it was received and being attended to! Very happy with the letter and turn around time.
Best,
Marvin

I received one in about three weeks once. Was surprised to see it so quickly.

Howdy
It depends. It has to do with how busy Roy is at the time. Sometimes he takes a little bit of time off to attend to other business.
I just got a letter last week. Looking at my checkbook, the check was dated December 2nd. So I guess that is about five weeks.
No matter how you slice it, it is less time than a Colt letter. Last time I lettered a Colt it took about six months to get the letter.

Only once do I recall waiting more than six weeks for a letter. On another occasion I got one within three. Usually the elapsed time seems to be around four-five weeks, but as others have mentioned, it depends entirely on Roy's schedule of obligations and the number of letter requests already in the INCOMING basket.

Thanks for the input fellows. My notes show the factory letter request was mailed on 12/12 and the check cleared on 12/22. No problem; will just wait.

It came in this morning's mail. Looks like a turnaround time of about six weeks.
