Default S&W No. 3 Target revolvers, antique or not?

Hello

Can anyone say for sure are S&W No. 3 Target revolvers, antique or not? I have one with serial number 2800 and think it is antique.

Thanks

Jimmy

First of all, welcome to the forum. Secondly, I assume you are asking about a "New Model #3". According to my interpretation of the SCSW, your gun would have been shipped prior to 1897 and would qualify as an antique. More knowledgeable folks may be along shortly to confirm this or correct me.

Jimmy,

"All" the No.3 Model S&W Large-Frame Top-Breaks are considered to be Antiques regardless of the Shipping Date, or Configuration, as all the Frames were produced prior to 1898!! Hope this helps!!

By the way, Welcome to the Forum & if you get a chance, post a few photos if you are able!! Take Care!!
