Default Top-break .32 Nickel in 98%+ Original Condition ...

I recently acquired a .32 Top Break, Nickel with Pearl Grips, that appears to be in near "unfired" condition ... The Serial Range is: 45xxx
and I was hoping to find out what year it was manufactured ... I was in the Firearms Business over 30 years and bought, sold, traded thousands of Anitque and Modern Firearms ... However, I have never seen of the these pistols in such Beautiful Original Condition ... It must be seen to believe.

Need some pictures so we can identify the correct model, but I'm guessing it is a .32 Double Action, 4th Model. Does it look like the one below (except for the grips)?

From the pictures posted, you don't have a 98% gun! You have a gun that is as close to 100% as one can get. I do not even see a turn line on the cylinder - a great 32 S&W.

Your revolver is called a 32 Safety Hammerless, 1st Model. S&W guns are dated by thier shipping date. Serial number in the 45,000 range would have been shipped aroun 1892 -1894. There were atound 91,500 manufactured from 1888-1902.

Very nice S&W indeed.

Thank You for the information and the compliment ... I am not an Antique Firearm Collector, so this little gem may find a new home soon IF the right offer is made ... I plan to attend the upcoming Big Reno Gun Show next month and will bring it along unless it's gone.
