Default 911 Emergency on my little .32

I broke the stirrup, or at least that is what I believe it is called. It is the part that the hammer and hammer spring are attached to each other by.

I am not sure what to do. I looked on Numerich's web page and they don't have them. Any suggestions that you might have would be appreciated. I was really liking the little bugger until this happened.

What model 32 do you have? 32 Single Action Spur trigger, 32 Double Action, 32 Safety Hammerless, or 32 Hand Ejector??

I would check Old West Gunsmith (David Chicoine) or Jack First. You can search Old West Gunsmith, but will have to call Jack First. You also should talk with David Chicoine, since some other model stirrups may fit your gun.

As above. There are many different .32 S&Ws and without a good picture or two, along with SN, no one can be sure.

That is a 32 double action. I would also try ebay and Gunbroker for your part. I am pretty sure that the 32 safety hammerless stirrup would also fit.

You might also post on the S&W Smithing area of this forum to see if anyone there could help. I have obtained some unusual parts there. I think it's probably the same part used for all .32 DA models, and also the .32 Safety Hammerless, but I am not certain about that. It's possible the same part could also have been used in the .38 DA and SH revolver counterparts, but again I don't know.

By the way, yours seems original and is nice-looking.

So far I am striking out. Jack First has nothing in stock, Numrich has nothing and Old Western Gunsmith hasn't responded to my e-mail.

Not sure what to do.

Have you tried Poppert's Gun Parts Main Menu The following is located in the "Download" area in the Header. There is a list, however it is not real recent. S&W PARTS and SERVICES VENDORS .txt

I have been in contact with David Chicoine. He agreed to take a look at my .32 and I sent it off to him today. So all is not lost.

Thanks for the advise guys.
