Your photo actually answers two questions. Yes, the barrel has been cut, but the address definitely makes it a Model 3, Second Model chambered in 44. American. Your revolver was shipped from the factory around 1873. This revolver is actually a single action.
As for value, the gun is in rough shape, with lots of rust and missing finish. The cut barrel also detracts from the value. Lastly, the original wood stocks would have been smooth, so yours are either a replacement or someone checkered the original stocks. Assuming the gun has matching numbered parts, it might still sell for $1000 on a good day, since there are just not many of these guns left in existence.
Your parlor pistol would struggle to get $175 at auction, since there is just not much interest in these in the US.
