I have a chance to pick up a S&W Straight Line Pistol Barrel, and was wondering what a good price would be, not sure what they are worth, I was told It is New.
Has the front sight, that's about all I can say about it, also it is blued.

They only sold 1900 of these and I can only wonder how many extra barrels were made? Maybe less than 100 extra barrels even exist. Value would be very difficult to determine, given the relative rarity of this model. Of course, the other issue is that I would assume the demand would also be low. There may be some owners of these pistols that have a shot out barrel, but who would want to mix serial numbers on a rare pistol and how much would anyone shoot these anyway?

You are most likely not going to find any reference to prior sales of this barrel, but Gunbroker has sold a couple of Model 41 22 barrels for around $300 each and somebody is trying to sell a rear sight for a Straight line for $250, but that is about it out there online. One Straight line recently sold on GunsAmerica for $3000 and one other example is for sale on GunsInternational. for $4650.

My guess would be that anyone desperately needing a barrel might go $500??????? Problem is finding that person.

You might want to put it on Gunbroker (or similar site) with a reserve you feel is appropriate and let it sit until it gets bought.
