I would love to own one myself, but would rather buy several nice old S&W revolvers, so don't own any yet. Complete and original examples do often sell for $6000 to $8000 without the case and in worn, but working condition. Rock Island has several for sale in their latest auction, but all are estimated north of $10K. Those found with the original case and in excellent condition always sell for over $10K and up. I have seen $4000 to $5000 prices realized with a couple of refinished or altered examples in the last 2-3 years, but those prices are rare.

You can go to RIA auction site and look back on those guns and see what they brought. In complete working condition and not too badly rusted will often bring in that $7 - $8,000 range.

What do you consider complete and original?

Don: to me complete means that it has its original (or correct) parts such as stocks, sights, hammer, etc. In originality I prefer an unrefinished gun. The case would not be necessary as I understand that adds many $ to the price. I understand that there were some "tools" but they might be in the same category as the case. I have only ever seen one of the 320's and that was at a Southwest Bunch BBQ in Tulsa last spring. Consequently, I don't have a lot to compare. I got my RM, TL, 2nd, 3rd and 4th model 44's. I'm just wondering if a 320 is a possibility. I don't have any confidence in buying from RIA. Thanks, Randy

Never say never. A complete Revolving Rifle without the case will be very expensive. Keep looking, maybe you'll get lucky. I don't have a case for mine, but, I don't think mine ever had one.
