British Proofmarks?

Found this little jewel this past weekend.
Mod.3 .38 DA yes it's been cut but she is clean and tight bore is shiny with grooves. Question is it has proof marks on it that I believe are British marks are on the rt. side of barrel and frame and in between each chamber on the cylinder one is BP with a crown? Ands BV with three marks over. Just wondering if this could have made it's way over seas at some point in its life span.
These vintage pieces just are a marvel of craftsmanship love the fact that's it's survived the test of time and man.

Yep British proof marks, if these things could only talk! I had a M18 that British proofs and was re imported back to the States.
