NEW MODEL No. 3 TARGET

Hello everybody!
After finding a No.1 1st issue a few weeks ago I could add another nice gun to my collection. I bought a NEW MODEL No. 3 Target in cal. 32-44. The serial no. of the gun is 2767 and Roy already let me know that it was shipped April 1899. The gun is nickel plated (as most of them) and in great condition. When removing the stocks I found a scratched name which I think is the owners name. I cannot read it. If anyone has an idea about that name I would be glad to receive this information. I know that many owners of the target guns used to scratch their name on some place of the gun. Good that it is inside the stocks and not on the surface. Unfortunately it seems to be impossible to get even a single cartridge in 32-44 here in Germany. Maybe my friend in Michigan can try to find one and send it to me. I also would like to ask Roy for a Letter. He wrote I could download this from the forum, but I do not know where I can find such a form. Any help would be appreciated. Enjoy the pictures.

Lovely old New Model 3 Target!

You can re-form .32-20 Brass, aka .32 WCF, to make perfect .32-44 Cartridges. ( I can relay more about this, if you are interested...)

Can you try again with a better image of the name? Looks like there is also a city name below.

At the top of the page in the banner section, click on "Downloads". Then on the left hand side of that page is a box labeled "Most Popular Files". The first entry in that box is a link to the pdf file that has the letter request. Download the file, print it out, fill in the blanks, enclose money for letter and mail it in.
