Another 'what is it'?
I don't have this in hand.
But, what exactly is it?
Caliber is .38 S&W. I'm thinking it's a .38 Double-Action 3rd Model.
Serial Number is 305891
So, hit me with your best shot.

I like those proof marks on the barrel. This late example made it to Europe for some reason.

Proof marks
If you can post close ups of the proof marks the members can comment on where exactly it was proof tested.
There should also be proof marks in each cylinder flute and likely one on the frame.
