4 Screw No Model number (K frame) poll
A little poll, K frames only so far.
What is the highest serial number 4 screw without model numbers you have actually seen?
I have a K38 CM that is K329511.
A post below references a M&P, C430xxx.
Does anyone have one higher/later?
My informal research shows post K360,xxx plus or minus to be Model marked.
What is the lowest model marked serial you have.

My 4-screw pre model 10 snub-nose is C 3811xx. Don't know how it stacks up to being close to having a model number on it, but it still has the older style barrel. I bought it from the original owner.

Thanks,
So far the unscientific answer as to when the K (target) frames started getting marked seems to be between 329511 and 346XXX. I seem to remember seeing one in the 331XXX range but can't verify it.
Any others?
Of course this all could be just another useless snipe hunt.

K 313132 Pre-14 4-screw belonged to my uncle who carried it as a reserve cop in Ohio in the early 60's. It's one of my favorites.

K3251xx is a 4 screw non model marked K-22. Until your K329 came along ,it was the highest numbered n.m.m. I'd ever seen.

I'll add this as a confirming reference point: K3024xx is a a pre-14 4-screw. -S2
(an old photo; I'm pretty sure that it's the second one down, on the left; it's still got the "fishhook" hammer)

Don't have a pre-10 4-screw to report but, for reference, I do have a marked model 10 4-screw with s/n C457,3XX.

So the top looks like somewhere between 3295XX and 3398XX.
Can anyone close the gap some more?
Still need some from the bottom.
What was the last 5 screw and first 4 screw.
One more windmill to tilt at.

I have K196446, a five-screw Pre-17. There's bound to be a bunch of five-screws with higher S/Ns. Looks like the change to four screws should be around K260000.

So let's get back on track here. You only want 4-Screw K-frame guns...you only want Pre-model-marked guns....and you are looking for a high number?
Is that correct?

Model 19 K3166xx.
I have seen Combat Magnums with higher serial numbers that have more "Pre" attributes than those of model marked 19's too.

The poll is looking for the highest number and the lowest number. It must be a K frame, no model number and must be a 4-screw.
I think I have the lowest K-22 number posted so far at K269,569.
