Wink Combat Magnums

Been reading a couple threads lately about pre-19's...whatever they are. Are you talking about the OLD original Combat Magnum .357's. You know, those old antique, outdated clubs of the 50's. They aren't even good enough for home protection anymore! We are in the 2000 era now. Get yourselves a plastic gun that holds 20 or 30 rounds...it's the now generation, modern technology..you know. Anyway, I got to digging around in the closet and found these old clunkers. Maybe I need to have a garage sale an get rid of some junk! (But don't count on it)

Question

Probably the worst thing about the old low tech stuff is that shiny finish and that grainy wood.
Now a Glock... that's a thing of beauty!

Beautiful guns, amazing how nicely the earlier ones (the one at the top of your photo) were polished and blued.

BTW, I think you mean Combat "Magnum", as the Masterpiece series were the .22 (later model 18) and .38 (model 15), yes?

You're welcome. I have in my collection what I think is (by published serial numbers) the 500th one produced, but with a replacement barrel.

Default Combat Mag.

I had asked yesterday why I'm unable to find any at gun shows or gun shops or wherever? Now I understand why, you have three of them, nice too, let me know how you have them priced, ha ha ha. Just PM me so we can keep it quiet, thanks.

Beautiful! Love the grips on the middle one.
Like smitholdtimer, I'm always on the lookout for one of these.

Those are trash. I'll swap you your choice of wunder9s for any one of them, just to help you out. Probably others here that would do the same for the rest of them, get you into the modern age.

I noticed they have that really old-fashion pinned barrel, and no doubt that archaic "recessing" of the cylinder chambers.

So outdated, maybe you can find a sucker who will pay $100 apiece...
