S.D.Myres RM in a Myres holster - at last
Thanks to the generosity of one of our fellow forum members I've finally managed to put S.D.Myres Registered Magnum into an 8 3/4" Myres holster. I never thought I'd find one of these so you can imagine how pleased I am!!
It looks at home doesn't it! Perfect fit!!
Dave

Peanut Butter and ....
That package goes together like peanut butter and jelly on homemade bread with a large glass of ice cold milk!
Congratulations!

Holy ****, Dave, what a combo!!
That's pure elegance and beauty--the quintessential revolver of it's era mated with the highest premium quality leather work of it's day.
The aesthetics of the ivory service stocks contribute greatly to the overall appeal of the package, IMO.

WOW, with the lettering on the barrel so close to the cylinder is it possible that S&W used the "barrel stretcher" on that one? There is always a discussion about centered lettering on short barrels so that must be the case here!!!
Seriously though, that is a really great gun and the matching holster and gun belt really make it extra special. That is truly a collection centerpiece!!

"barrel stretcher" - LOL
Great setup. Nice to see the gun and holster "reunited" so to speak.

As a friend of mine said about something not near as nice as your gun & holster, "That's slicker than puppy poop on a tile floor."

Dave, That's just an outstanding rig!! I think that, with appropriate documentation, that should certainly make a winning "Single Gun" display.
Bob
(p.s. Does the belt fit the new Dave?)

Lee, I'm just astounded at the insensitivity shown by our Senior Administrator. You of all people should know that, in the interest of gender diversity, the proper nomenclature for that style is a "Texas Athletic Supporter" holster.

Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased with the end result.
Bob - I duly note your perspicacity in spotting the forum owners obvious lack of political correctness.
The added bonus is that the belt is a 44", which fits over my clothed 42" waist perfectly. Wasn't planned, just came that way.
Thanks for the idea about a display. I think the gun will appear at a future S&W Annual Meeting. I've got a great deal of material on S.D.Myres that will compliment the gun and holster. I'm looking forward to putting it together.
Regards.

I hope that that meeting is the Tucson meeting, as that would be one of the highlights for me to see that rig and revolver in person. Anything else that you were to add to the package would be icing on the gingerbread house .

Oh my, what a nice outfit! . . I sure do like those ivory grips; the natural aging of them is perfect.

Thank you for putting me onto it Medxam.
It's one of those things I've searched for high and low. A real "tick in the box" item, if you know what I mean. Now I have it I can close my research on this gun and move on with another.
Merry Christmas to all.
