What is the correct grip for 1932 pre M&P/mdl 10?
I have a 1932 "k" frame 38 Special.
Nice one but not a collector piece.
I would like to get a period correct grip for it but I have no idea what they should look like. Can anybody show me what the correct grip should be and were I may be able to find an original or an copy.
Thank you.

Like this:
Ignore the grip adaptor behind the trigger guard. This is a target model M&P shipped in 1935, so about the same age as your gun. The stocks you want are diamond service stocks with silver medallions at the top. The stocks do not overlap the sideplate or left frame face the way the later magna stocks do.
These come up for sale on the forum here from time to time. Good luck in the hunt.

I think I saw one without the silver medallion on the top.
Maybe on e-bay.
Are they fakes?

You need checkered walnut service stocks with small silver medallions. I'm sure someone will post pics for you soon. I couldn't find a picture quickly and don't have time to take one.

Probably not, this design was used in the decade of the 1920s.

A possibility is also the black, hard rubber stock.

Keep in mind that if they discovered some earlier grips in a bin, they'd have probably used them.
