what do you guys think the value of this pre model 42 is.

It looks to be a 4-screw gun, but with carry wear and missing the original stocks. You may want to ask if it has a steel cylinder (aluminum cylinder = collector's item and non-shooter), and about the bore/chambers/mechanical condition. If it is in good shooting condition, I'd guess about $400 or a little higher.
