38 s&W special
4 inch barrel
hand ejector fixed
has a strain screw
4 screw
this is all the info requested
would like to know about the year it was made

Sometime in the 1950's is as close as I can figure. Might get a closer date from someone that has more knowledge on C prefix models.

Too many digits in that serial number - C4499XXX
There should only be six, maximum.
Until we know the correct serial number, it is too early to give an approximate shipping date.

If it is C4499xx, it will be from about 1960, right near the end of the four screw frames.

If C4499xx, I have one on my list having a close SN which shipped in mid-late 1959.
